In 2025, Beijing has 47 companies on the Fortune Global 500 list, ranking first among cities worldwide for the 13th consecutive year. Its number of listed companies has exceeded the combined total of Tokyo and New York, cementing Beijing's status as the undisputed “Hub of Global 500”.

As of 2024, a total of 260 multinational corporations had established their regional headquarters in Beijing.
