Xicheng District unveiled the "Implementation Plan for the Construction of the Demonstration Zone of an International Consumption Center City" recently. It plans to make every effort to create new consumption scenarios, including "two cores", "two belts", "seven zones", "five streets" and "one network".

The "two cores" are the Xidan-Beijing Financial Street area which is a high-end fashion cluster featuring fashion exchange, digital consumption and finance and commerce, and the Dashilan-Beijing Fun area where visitors can experience new Chinese-style life.

The "two belts" are the "cultural belt" from Shichahai and Di’anmen to Tianqiao and Xiannongtan (Temple of Agriculture), and the "commercial belt" from Jishuitan to Lingjing Hutong.

The "seven zones" include the Maliandao tea culture and leisure life zone, Shichahai scenic area, Beijing Exhibition Center urban holiday space, Tianqiao performing arts zone, Di’anmenwai Street fashion market, Tianning No.1 cultural, technological and financial compound, and Fuxing Commercial City-Chang’an Market life service zone.

The "five streets" include the Huguosi snack street, Liulichang Street, Yandai Xiejie, and Yangmeizhu Xiejie which represent traditional Beijing culture, as well as Jinshu Street which represents high-quality modern business.

The "one network" means that Xicheng District will achieve complete coverage of personalized services in every sub-district. For example, the district will increase reading spaces, cultural innovation projects, elderly care centers and childcare centers. It will also support life service businesses such as convenience stores and restaurants to accelerate the digital renovation, and upgrade residents life service centers offering both online and offline services.
