Xicheng District attaches great importance to vocational skills training and talent cultivation. The authorities have organized skills training activities, set up a mechanism for motivating talented people, improved ways of training, and taken other measures so as to comprehensively improve employees’ capabilities and promote the development of enterprises.

Based on the needs of enterprises, Xicheng District carries out one-to-one vocational guidance training this year, and innovates ways of training by opening online courses, so that enterprises can receive training anytime and anywhere. So far, more than 200000 employees from over 5000 companies have received training. And Xicheng District authorities have allocated 150 million yuan for subsidizing those employees’ training.

Xicheng District promotes the cultivation of high-skilled personnel and the construction of talent teams. It has formed three-level talent cultivation system by selecting hundreds of talents at the district level, funding for outstanding talents, opening technician training class, organizing skills competition, etc.

Moreover, based on functional positioning of the district and characteristics of local industries, Xicheng District seeks training resources from mid-to-high-end industries, and has guided four companies to set up for-profit vocational skills training institutions.
