On February 12, construction of the main area of Zhongguancun (Western Beijing) Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology Park (the "Park" for short) has been commenced. The Park is scheduled to open in the second half of 2025, aiming to attract over 200 AI enterprises. Once completed and put into full operation, it is expected to achieve an annual output of CNY 10 billion, thus becoming a new global hub for the AI industries.

The Park will build an industrial ecosystem of "computing power + data + large models" specifically for the AI sectors. The seven segments will be prioritized, namely the intelligent manufacturing, intelligent healthcare, intelligent audiovisual, intelligent education, intelligent cultural tourism, intelligent robotics, and intelligent transportation industries. Efforts will also be made to encourage leading enterprises in the relevant industries to help promote the application of AI technologies across various sectors.

As a new-generation tech park, it will also explore more innovative models, aiming to create an AI industrialization base that functions as a space for office work, experiments and prototyping.

In terms of industrial guidance funds, ZGC Group has established a CNY-1-billion AI industrial fund jointly with Mentougou District to attract more private capital investment into the AI sectors. Additionally, ZGC Group has set up the AI 0-1 Original Innovation Fund with Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence (BAAI). The latter is dedicated to supporting frontier technological research and original innovation in the field of AI, and nurturing innovative enterprises and projects.
