Overview: Huairou Film & Television Industry Park, Beijing, China (HRFT) covers a plot area of 8.7 square kilometers in Blocks 07 and 08 of the Yangsong Cluster in Huairou New City. It takes the State Production Base of China Film Group as its western core and the Huairou Campus of Beijing Film Academy as its eastern core. As China's first state-level film and television industry demonstration zone, it is a key base for Beijing's film and television industry development and a core carrier for building Beijing into a national cultural center. Since 2005, HRFT has attracted a total investment of RMB 7 billion covering film and television production, theme parks, cultural tourism facilities and technological R&D. Currently, the Beijing International Film Festival has set its permanent venue in Huairou, the new campus of Beijing Film Academy has been officially put into use, and the International Film and Television Service Center has commenced operations. HRFT is able to undertake, advise on and assist with over 60 municipal- and district-level matters in the film and television field.
