The 28th Beijing Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Symposium, which commenced on Wednesday at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, marked a significant step in deepening collaboration between the two regions.
A total of 29 projects were signed on-site, with a combined contract value of nearly 56 billion yuan ($7.88 billion), covering 11 key sectors such as technology and commercial services, biomedicine, and artificial intelligence.
The symposium strengthened exchanges and cooperation among governments, enterprises, and industries from both sides. It revealed 160 investment-attraction projects with a total investment value of 60.32 billion yuan. These initiatives cover areas such as spatial resources, corporate financing, technological collaboration, and international expansion for enterprises.
Additionally, several memorandums of understanding were signed, supporting partnerships and fostering mutual growth in fields such as finance, law, and intellectual property protection.
