On December 9, the Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau convened a meeting to launch its domestic and overseas investment service stations. Sun Yao, director of the bureau, highlighted five points in a speech at the meeting:
1. Bold Innovation: Service stations are a bold innovation and promising exploration of the city's investment promotion efforts, which will contribute to the high-quality development of the capital's economy;
2. Two-way Investment: The operation should focus on both "bringing in" and "going global" to achieve mutually beneficial investment flow;
3. Gateway Role: The stations will act as "ambassadors" to promote Beijing's openness and identify potential investment opportunities;
4. Research-driven Approach: More efforts should be made to strengthen the analysis of economic and industry trends to support Beijing's industrial strategies;
5. Operational Compliance: The stations, especially those overseas, must adhere to local laws and avoid unauthorized activities.
The meeting also discussed task allocation, with representatives from service stations and departments sharing insights. Sun emphasized leveraging best practices from other regions to improve the stations' operation, contributing to the city's investment promotion goals.
