On September 13, 2024, Beijing Day and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Investment Promotion Conference jointly sponsored by the Beijing Investment Promotion Service Center, Tianjin Investment Promotion Bureau, and Hebei Investment Promotion Bureau were successfully held during the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS). Under the theme of “China-linked Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region for a New Future”, the conference set up a networking platform for attracting investment in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region and promoted the coordinated high-quality development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region to a new level. At the event, Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei released a new batch of 202 key investment cooperation projects with a total investment of 162.2 billion yuan and signed 24 cooperation projects.

1. Give full play to the role of CIFTIS as a platform and enhance the internationalization level of investment promotion activities

Leveraging a national platform for opening to the outside world provided by CIFTIS, the event attracted high-level representatives from foreign local governments, domestic and foreign business associations, and Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Maurizio Lassero, Governor of Asti Province and Mayor of Asti, Italy, and Mr. Ismail Aishahin, Director-General of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies, delivered speeches on behalf of foreign local governments and international organizations respectively, expressing their strong desire to carry out two-way investment cooperation with the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region.

2. Release investment projects to continuously enhance the attractiveness of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region investment promotion

At the event, key projects in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei were unveiled, and the overseas investment promotion network sites, global partners and other resources of the three places were fully leveraged to send out invitations to the world. Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei have released a new batch of investment projects to the world, covering key industries such as new energy and intelligent networked vehicles, robots, integrated circuits, hydrogen energy, high-end industrial mother machines, biomedicine, network security and industrial Internet, involving 202 key projects with a total investment of 162.2 billion yuan.

3. Focus on key industries and carry out investment promotion in various forms

The conference features activities such as themed promotion, enterprise investment promotion, key park promotion, industrial fund investment promotion, consultation and networking, focusing on key industries such as intelligent networked cars and robots, and conducting face-to-face policy consultation, industrial cooperation, project investment and financing networking on the spot, accurately matching the actual cooperation needs to attract high-quality enterprises at home and abroad, which contributed to the signing of three projects in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, including Bank of China Beijing Branch and Sinotrans Co., Ltd., Bank of China Tianjin Branch and Tianjin Oubowei Co., Ltd., and Bank of China Hebei Branch and Hebei Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd. In addition, Beijing Customs announced at the promotion conference that the State Council had approved the establishment of Beijing Yizhuang Comprehensive Bonded Zone.
