On April 24, the Beijing Federation of Trade Unions of Foreign-funded Enterprises (hereinafter referred to as the Federation) held a dating activity for singles of foreign-funded enterprises on Beijing New Concept Survival Island. Over 110 singles from over 20 foreign-funded enterprises, including Siemens Ltd. (China), Schneider Electric and Nestlé (China) attended this activity.
This activity integrated the games and charm-showing parts, in an attempt to advance the communication and understanding of these young singles. The initial unfamiliarity soon disappeared under the help of the ice breaker game—“Work as One”. The climax came after the interactive games, such as “Climbing Race”, “Rope-pulling Carriages” and “Acupressure Mat Challenge”, where their personality and teamwork strength were shining through their active participation. In the “Showing Your Love” part, they walked onto the stage to introduce themselves and show their talented aspects, sparking incessant applause, laugh and cheer. It seems that everyone was embarking on a journey of seeking their romantic love.
This activity won common appraise from the attendants. Over 100 singles joined the Wechat group and some of them exchanged their contact information.
Over the years, the Federation has attached great importance to the marital issues concerning young employees of marriageable age. To provide thoughtful marriage-oriented service for young singles, the Federation has been exploring innovative methods such as building online and offline dating platforms, holding large-scale dating activities every year, and creating Wechat dating groups. These methods can further expand their circle of friends and provide plentiful opportunities for finding their Mr. or Mrs. Right, thus improving their sense of happiness. In the future, the Federation will continue to provide platforms of communication for the young employees in down-to-earth actions and give concerns and support for their growth and development.
