On the afternoon of February 25, Beijing Investment Promotion Service Center held a meeting for its leadership to conduct special discussions and exchanges on learning and implementing the spirit of the fifth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee based on the actual work. The meeting was presided over by Zhou Xu, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and Director of the center. Comrade Guo Tianhua, from the executive cadre division of the Organization Department of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, attended the meeting and listened to the discussions and exchanges.

According to the unified deployment of the Organization Department of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, this meeting was held on the basis of the actual work and in-depth thinking of investment promotion to learn the spirit of the fifth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee. Attendees unanimously said that the fifth plenary session is of great significance, so it is necessary to combine the learning and implementation of its spirit with that of the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches about Beijing. And the spirit of the plenary session and the decision made by the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and the People's Government of Beijing Municipality should be followed in both thought and action. Through further learning and understanding of the spirit of the plenary session, all relevant personnel should be clear about the requirements of having accurate cognition of the new development stage, deeply implementing the new development concept, and expediting the construction of a new development pattern. They need to grasp the current development features and situation of Beijing and the new tasks and requirements about investment promotion put forward by the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and the People's Government of Beijing Municipality. While raising the political stance, they should vigorously facilitate the transformation and development of investment promotion. Besides, based on the actual work of investment promotion, they have to improve the investment promotion mechanism and supporting policies with the focus on the key work of building comprehensive demonstration areas and free trade areas. In addition, they should focus on key industries, plan landmark projects, improve the level of investment promotion, and endeavor to build a well-qualified investment promotion team, so as to make new contributions to the city's high-quality development and a good start of the 14th Five-Year Plan. Zhou Xu required that members of the leadership should take the lead in strengthening their learning, effectively raise their political stance and actively transform their work orientation. They must be responsible to create new prospects for high-quality investment promotion and strive to complete the annual objectives and tasks with a view to welcoming the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) with excellent results.
