On February 8, Beijing Federation of Trade Unions of Foreign-funded Enterprises held an online training on "How to deal with work of grass-roots trade unions" to foster a contingent of high-caliber officials in trade unions and actively promote the high-quality development of enterprise trade unions under the new situation. Zhang Xiaomei, a professor of Beijing Federation of Trade Unions Cadre College was invited to give instructions to about 200 participants, including trade union chairmen, members, full-time officers and model workers.

Professor Zhang's training includes four aspects of innovative thinking, trade union responsibilities, working methods and works focus. She elaborated the key points and difficulties of grass-roots trade union work through cases, guided the participants to accurately grasp the new requirements and changes in the development of trade unions, encouraged them to find working approaches with a scientific attitude and innovative thinking, so as to effectively improve the capacity and unity of grass-roots trade unions. During the training, Professor Zhang also answered some common questions of the participants.

Participants expressed that the training was very timely in addressing their needs. On the one hand, they clarified their work priorities and work standards and learned working methods. On the other hand, they recognized their responsibilities and decided to adopt higher standards in future work to effectively serve their employees.
