The 23rd Beijing Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Symposium was held online, focusing on implementing high-quality projects. Careful arrangements were made for key areas promotion, policy publicity, business opportunity release, negotiation and matchmaking and project signing, aiming to encourage Hong Kong investors to invest in high-quality projects in line with the strategic positioning of Beijing. More than 1,500 people from Beijing and Hong Kong participated offline and more than 5,000 people participated online. During the Symposium, 12 Beijing-Hong Kong cooperation projects in finance, biomedicine, producer services and other fields were selected and signed on the spot, with a total contract amount of USD 3.886 billion; 14 memoranda of cooperation between the governments, associations and enterprises of the two cities were signed, covering health, financial innovation, Belt and Road cooperation and other fields; 179 two-way investment projects were released in industries such as new energy, technical services, artificial intelligence, and next-generation information technology. The Symposium attracted more than 60 journalists from more than 40 media outlets, with related articles being published and reprinted more than 10,000 times.
