2020-11-03 11:19

From October 16 to 17, 2020, Beijing Federation of Trade Unions of Foreign-funded Enterprises held two sessions of special business knowledge training. More than 160 persons attended the training, including chairmen and members of trade unions, full-time directors, excellent employees, and human resource representatives of Siemens (China), ABB, Bosch Rexroth, Lining, and Mars, Inc.

The first training focused on the Collective Contract. Fan Shaohua, an associate research fellow of the Institute of Theory and Staff Education of Beijing Federation of Trade Unions Cadre College, explained the background, necessity, and preparations of the signing of the collective contract, and elements of the collective contract in detail and answered puzzling questions encountered during work at the training. The second training focused on the Trade Union Law and the Constitution of Trade Union. Liu Guangyu, Deputy Director of the Institute of Theory and Staff Education of Beijing Federation of Trade Unions Cadre College gave a detailed lecture on the legislative principles, considerations of several revisions, and features, provisions, and practical application of the current version of the Trade Union Law and the Constitution of Trade Union.

Participants said, signing collective contracts is a win-win result for enterprises and employees, but enterprises didn't recognize that and often escaped the problems during practice. Through this training, they had a deeper understanding of the importance to sign the Collective Contract, enriched their legal knowledge on the agreement with the enterprise, and were confident in signing high-quality collective contracts.
