Cosponsored by Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform, Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau and Beijing Investment Promotion Service Center and undertaken by Beijing Investment Promotion Service Center, Beijing Theme Day·2020 Beijing Investment Fair was successfully held on September 8 at China National Convention Center in Beijing. Yan Ying, Vice Chairman of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of Beijing Federation of Industry and Commerce, addressed the fair; Zhou Xu, Director of Beijing Investment Promotion Service Center, presided over the fair.

As one of the activities of Beijing Theme Day of the China International Fair for Trade in Services, the fair is themed with "Open · Share · Development" and divided into the two phases of investment promotion and investment negotiation. During the first phase, PwC China released Beijing Foreign Investment Development Report 2020, representatives of Hong Kong-based One Country Two Systems Research Institute, Alibaba Local Life Service and iFLYTEK delivered keynote speeches, and a round of introduction was made to the key policies and regions in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. Over 500 domestic and foreign representatives from foreign business associations, multinational corporations and China's centrally administered State-owned enterprises attended the fair. In the second phase, information desks were set up by representatives of Beijing Investment Promotion Service Center, the districts of Beijing and Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, as well as Tianjin and Hebei. At the fair, a total 85 project proposals for investment were released, negotiation was carried out for 126 projects, information of 52 potential projects was collected and nearly 500 enterprise representatives negotiated for investment consultation and project matchmaking.

The fair presented 54 projects for investment promotion, such as the projects of Beijing Celluno New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., CNNC Commercial Factoring Co., Ltd. and the demonstration base for intelligent manufacturing of aerospace power equipment. There was also a "cloud Beijing" activity on the fair. The activity consists of live streaming for the online promotion of key investment attraction policies and investment opportunities as well as online negotiation between enterprises and investors, in the nine districts including Dongcheng, Xicheng and Chaoyang.

The fair has received great attention from the news media. More than 10 media, including Xinhua News Agency, China News Service, China Media Group, Beijing Media Network and Beijing Daily, conducted on-the-spot interviews and made reports titled 2020 Beijing Investment Fair Held in Beijing, Fifty-four Projects Signed at Beijing Investment Fair, Highlighting Beijing's Strong Attraction for Foreign Investment, and CIFTIS: Stalls Set for the 16 Districts of Beijing on Investment Fair, Presenting Key Projects.
