Beijing Federation of Trade Unions of Foreign-funded Enterprises Holds the 20th "Li-Ning Cup" Friendship Badminton Competition for Foreign Enterprise Employees

On September 5, 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic has been well controlled, the Beijing Federation of Trade Unions of Foreign-funded Enterprises held the 20th "Li-Ning (China) Cup" Friendship Badminton Competition for Foreign Enterprise Employees on the premise of strict pandemic prevention and control, in order to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Federation and enrich the cultural life of employees of the enterprises. A total of 261 badminton amateurs from trade unions of more than 30 foreign-funded enterprises including The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC), Schneider Electric SA (hereinafter referred to as Schneider Electric), Bosch Rexroth AG (hereinafter referred to as Bosch Rexroth), and ABB (China) Limited [hereinafter referred to as ABB (China)] took part in the Competition.

The Competition included five items: Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and Team Competition. During the Competition, all competitors went all out to get every point and never thought of giving up, greatly showing the sportsmanship of perseverance and indomitable struggle. When they competed fiercely on the court with sweat continuously pouring off, wonderful rallies like high clear and smashes amazed the audience frequently, with respective scores of rivals rising alternatively. During the Competition, the competitors fully demonstrated their charm and talent in playing badminton. After a day of intense competition, Shu Jie and Wang Wei from Schneider Electric and Jiang Daibin from Li-Ning (China) Sports Goods Co., Ltd. [hereinafter referred to as Li-Ning (China)] won the first, second, and third places of Men's Singles respectively; Guo Yan from Li-Ning (China), Wang Qiu from ABB (China), and Xuan Yingji from Siemens Factory Automation Engineering Ltd.(SFAE) won the first, second, and third places of Women's Singles respectively; Sun Jing & Chen Shibo, Li Huanli & Zheng Bo, and He Yujia & Liu Wentao won the first, second, and third places of Men's Doubles respectively; Chen Jiali & Liu Huili from Schneider Electric, Yan Min & Shi Bin from Oracle (China) Software Systems Co., Ltd., and Han Wei &Wang Qing from ABB (China) won the first, second, and third places of Mixed Doubles; and Schneider Electric First Team, Schneider Electric Second Team, and Li-Ning (China) First Team won the first, second, and third places of Team Competition.

After the Competition, all the competitors said, through this Competition, the communication and exchanges among trade unions of different foreign-funded enterprises and among employees have been enhanced, and the sense of group honor and group cohesiveness of the enterprises have been strengthened. In addition, it has enriched the spare-time life of the employees and motivated them to be involved in the National Fitness Program so that they are more likely to be engaged in work resumption with healthy bodies and a positive attitude.

Zhang Jianjun, executive vice-chairman of Beijing Federation of Trade Unions of Foreign-funded Enterprises, Huang Jie, chairman of the Trade Union of Li-Ning (China) Sports Goods Co., Ltd., Li Ming, chairman of the Trade Union of Bosch Rexroth (Beijing) Hydraulic Co., Ltd., Wang Yan, chairman of the Trade Union of HSBC Bank (China) Company Limited, Beijing Branch, Li Wenjun, chairman of the Trade Union of Nestle (China) Ltd., and Song Zhijian, chairman of the Trade Union of ABB (China) Co., Ltd. presented awards to the winners.
