In order to welcome the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, carry out Xi Jinping's socialist thought with Chinese characteristics in the new era, implement the "healthy China strategy" of the 19th National Congress of the Party, and stimulated the enthusiasm of employees of foreign companies and cadres and workers of the government organizations, and offer gifts to the motherland with outstanding achievements, on June 1, 2019, the Beijing Municipal Investment Promotion Service Center Trade Union and the Beijing Foreign-funded Enterprise Trade Union Confederation held a walking event for "Welcoming the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China" in Xincheng Binhe Forest Park of Beijing Shunyi District. A total of 46 foreign-invested labor unions along with more than 610 members and more than 60 central government officials signed up for the event.  

Comrade Zhou Xu, Secretary of the Party Committee and director of the Beijing Investment Promotion Service Center delivered an opening speech. Along with Yu Yan, deputy director of the Beijing Investment Promotion Service Center, Comrade Su Hong, deputy director and chairman of the Societies Union, Comrade Xu Zongjun chairman of the Federation of Foreign Trade Unions of Beijing, deputy inspector Zhang Tong, and Ms. Mao Xiang, the representative of the general manager of foreign-funded companies, and five vice-chairmen of the trade union federations jointly issued a gunshot to announce the start of the event.  

The holding of this walking event provided opportunities for people to work together, promoted the exchanges between all participants, enhanced mutual friendship, enhanced collective cohesion and centripetal force, cultivated sentiment, inspired morale and created a healthy and harmonious atmosphere. Everyone said that they would celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China with a healthy body, sunny mentalities, full enthusiasm and excellent results.
