On April 23, Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau, Beijing Taxation Bureau of the State Administration of Taxation and Beijing Association of Foreign-funded Enterprises jointly organized a tax policy conference in Beijing. More than 230 representatives from more than 150 units including American Chamber of Commerce, European Chamber of Commerce, Japanese Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce and other business associations in Beijing and their member enterprises, as well as multinational corporations and large private enterprises, were invited to attend the meeting. This interpretation meeting is not only a tax reduction and fee reduction policy propaganda activity within the month of tax publicity, but also one of a series of activities to optimize the business environment of the capital.  

Before the meeting, our bureau collected business opinions extensively and feedback more than 90 questions raised by enterprises to the Beijing Tax Bureau of the State Administration of Taxation in advance. The relevant offices of the Beijing Tax Bureau of the State Administration of Taxation put forward specific solutions after sorting out these questions and making special research. At the meeting, the leaders of the Beijing Tax Bureau of the State Administration of Taxation gave a lecture on optimizing the business environment of the capital and reducing taxes and fees. They answered the questions raised by enterprises, including pre-tax deduction of enterprise income tax, special additional deduction of individual income tax, refund of withholding tax credits at the end of VAT period, and definition of environmental protection tax. After the meeting, the delegates gave high comments on the policy interpretation made by the tax authorities, and expressed appreciation to our bureau and relevant government departments for actively optimizing the business environment in the capital and offering services on their own initiative.   

So far, the Tax Policy Interpretation Conference has been successfully held for twelve sessions, with more than 2400 delegates from more than 1700 enterprises participating in the conference. At the meeting, the tax authorities thoroughly interpreted the latest tax policies and answered more than 900 questions raised by enterprises.
