In order to elaborate the overall plan of the 23rd Beijing-Hong Kong Fair and deepen the practical cooperation between Beijing and Hong Kong through the platform of activities, from April 8 to 12, 2019, the Preparatory Working Group headed by Vice-Inspector Zhang Tong of the Municipal Investment Promotion Bureau went to Hong Kong to carry out preparatory work and completed various tasks successfully.  

During they stayed in Hong Kong, the Preparatory Working Group conducted docking exchanges with some important business associations, enterprises and think tanks including LOCPG HK (Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong), Hong Kong Investment Promotion Agency, Hong Kong sponsor of Beijing-Hong Kong Fair, Hong Kong American Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong Bar Association, Hong Kong Exchange and Clearing House, Sun Hung Kai Property Group, Shangri-La Group, Sino Group, Jingtai Group, and Hong Kong Research Centre for One Country, Two Systems. The Preparatory Working Group mainly sought the opinions and suggestions of people from all walks of life in Hong Kong on planning and organizing the 23rd Beijing-Hong Kong Fair, and actively promoted the investment and development of Hong Kong enterprises in Beijing. The preparations for the Beijing-Hong Kong Fair were carried out with compact schedule, efficient work and remarkable results. The main manifestations are as follows: First, opinions and suggestions were extensively solicited to lay a good foundation for planning the overall plan; second, meeting venues were implemented on the spot, which provided basic conditions for the holding of the conference; third, high-quality projects were excavated in depth, and a practical platform was built for the project landing; fourth, the "outer brain" was fully utilized to provide decision-making reference for enlarging and opening of the service industry.  

In accordance with the preparatory work plan, the office of the Preparatory Committee should do the following works: first, they should carefully summarize the work of this trip to Hong Kong, sort out the opinions and suggestions put forward by all circles in Hong Kong, implement the overall plan, and further improve the overall plan of the Beijing-Hong Kong Fair; Second, they should revisit the responsible units for docking thematic activities, inform the actual needs and specific suggestions put forward by the Hong Kong side, and further enrich and refine the content of thematic activities; third, they should earnestly study and actively absorb constructive opinions and suggestions from all parties, and communicate and consult repeatedly with relevant units in Beijing and Hong Kong, revise and improve them, so as to form an overall plan and submit it to the municipal government. Fourth, they should do well in promoting two-way investment projects between Beijing and Hong Kong, collect and issue high-quality projects in line with the strategic orientation of the capital city, and promote the development of Hong Kong's service industry enterprises in Beijing as well as the landing of high-quality projects in Beijing.
