On April 1, in order to guide American enterprises to invest in "high-grade, precision and advanced industries", expand and open up fields of the service industry and the financial industry, and guide foreign capitals to invest in the construction of Beijing city’s sub-center, the "US Enterprises' Investment in Beijing City’s Sub-center Project Negotiation Activities" was successfully held in the Yunhe Business District of Tongzhou District. The conference was guided by the Foreign Office of the Beijing Municipal Government, co-sponsored by the Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau, the Tongzhou District People's Government and the Business Department of the U.S. Embassy in China. It was sponsored by the Tongzhou District Investment Promotion Bureau and the Tongzhou Commerce Bureau.
The activities, chaired by Zhang Hua, deputy director of Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau, were carried out around the theme of "development, cooperation, and win-win results". Director Zhou Xu of Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau introduced the overall business environment of Beijing, and publicized the latest policies of expanding the opening up of Beijing's financial industry and service industry. District head Zhao Lei and vice-head Su Guobin of Tongzhou District introduced the industrial layout and policy orientation of the city's sub-center, and introduced the relevant situation of Tongzhou District in building pilot zones for expanding and opening up the service industry.
Focusing on the theme of "insisting on science and technology to lead and build a smart city with intelligent integration", well-known American high-tech companies such as Dell Science and Technology, SAS Software and Autodesk Software discussed the industrial development cooperation space of the city's sub-center in the fields of big data, engineering construction, smart security technology and so on, and helped the Beijing city's sub-center to use scientific and technological means to build a "smart city". Among them, SAS, the world's top software company, expressed its intention to cooperate with Tongzhou District to establish a big data innovation center. Falcon's Creative Group, New Entertainment Group, Jerde Partnership, Auntie Annes, Baskin Robbins and other companies focused the theme of "building a people-oriented, multi-cultural Tourism Zone in Tongzhou", introduced the development of related industries of Universal Studio in the United States, and provided valuable experience for the development of "culture + technology" industrial clusters in Tongzhou District.
In the process of exchanging and negotiation, the Investment Promotion Bureau of Tongzhou District, the District Development and Reform Commission, the District Economic and Credit Commission, the District Finance Office and the management committees of the Yunhe Business District, the Cultural Tourism District and the Tongzhou Park of Zhongguancun have set up consulting desks on site to answer the investment inquires concerned by entrepreneurs.
In the final part of the visit, representatives of Chinese and American enterprises visited the planning exhibition hall of Beijing city’s sub-center and the Universal Studio Project. Through on-site visits, the participants are able to feel the magnificent blueprint of the Beijing city’s sub-center and the tremendous changes that are taking place.
