On the afternoon of March 14, 2019, the eleventh enlarged meeting of the Fourth Committee of the Beijing Federation of Trade Unions of Foreign-funded Enterprises held the Eleventh Expanded Session of the Fourth Committee and the Second Session of the Fourth Congress of Members in Conference Room 1 of Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau. The meeting was presided over by Executive Vice-Chairman Zhang Jianjun and attended by 54 members and representatives.  

Huang Jie was elected as the Vice-President of the Federation and Tao Jinwei was elected as a committee member. Zhang Hua, Zhang Jianjun, Wang Huafeng and Wu Jun were elected as representatives of the 14th Beijing Congress of Trade Unions. Wang Jiongbo was recommended as candidate for the capital labor medal. The name list and amount of money for the Warm Fund in 2018 were also examined approved. Other work of the Federation was also studied at the meeting.  

Zhang Hua, deputy director of Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau and chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Foreign Enterprises, attended the meeting and put forward three requirements for the work of the Federation and trade unions of enterprises. First, trade unions at all levels should do a good job in guiding the ideological and political work of workers, strengthen the "four consciousnesses" and strengthen the "four self-confidence", and promote the formation of a vivid practice of Xi Jinping's Socialist Thought with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era in the trade union system of foreign enterprises. Second, we should consolidate the basic work of trade unions at all levels in an all-round way, fulfill the four functions of participation, maintenance, construction and education of trade unions with high standards, and train a team of high-quality, well-regulated and dedicated trade union cadres into practice. Third, we should keep the political and security baselines, find out the omens of problems in time, eliminate potential security risks and ensure that there are no problems in politics and security.
