Deputy Director Su Hong met with Park Chan Kyu, general representative of the Beijing Office of NongHyup Bank

On November 22, deputy director Su Hong met with Park Chan Kyu, general representative of the Beijing Office of NongHyup Bank.  

NongHyup Bank is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Korea Agricultural Association Financial Holding Company. It is the legal and business successor of the Agricultural Bank of Korea. It is a commercial bank with agricultural financial competitive advantages. There are 5,778 domestic business outlets in Korea, ranking first in Korea, and 80% of them are located in rural areas, dedicated to serving rural finance.  

Deputy director Su Hong made an introduction to Park Chan Kyu on the new overall city plan of Beijing and the open and innovative development of Beijing, and focused on promoting the relevant policies for the expanding and opening up of the financial industry.  

Mr. Park introduced NongHyup Bank’s development in China clearly expressed that the Korea Agricultural Cooperative Securities, a subsidiary of the Korea Agricultural Association Financial Holding Company, have actively promoted the establishment of sino-foreign joint venture securities companies in Beijing with Chinese partners. Meanwhile, NongHyup Bank hopes to combine the bank's rural financial business experience with China's relevant financial institutions to launch rural financial businesses, and exchanged views with deputy director Su Hong on the promotion of the establishment of a Sino-foreign joint venture bank.  

Deputy director Su Hong said that NongHyup Bank is very welcome to invest in Beijing and our bureau is willing to set up a platform for its development in Beijing. The Foreign Investment Promotion Office accompanied the meeting.
