On the afternoon of November 14, the regional office invited Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Germany (CHKD), Siemens (China), Bayer (China) and other representatives of German-funded enterprises to hold a symposium with the head of the Insurance and Non-Bank Services Department of Beijing Local Financial Supervision and Administration. The symposium focused on the optimization of the business environment, expansion and opening up of the financial industry, the financial service environment, intellectual property protection, and especially the new things of intellectual property insurance, and listen to the opinions and suggestions of the German-funded enterprises.  

The delegates focused on the financial service environment and the intellectual property protection in Beijing. They elaborated their understanding and opinions from their respective upon the development status and the actual work, and proposed the practical issues of patent technology rights protection, the continuity of drug patent assessment rules, patent protection period extension, and enterprise patent value assessment faced by foreign-funded enterprises after entering China, and expressed their hope to strengthen communication and cooperation with local financial regulatory agencies and intellectual property protection agencies, and strengthen the research of relevant departments on foreign-funded enterprises in order to establish relevant prevention and infringement mechanisms, and thus, help foreign-funded enterprises to solve the practical problems that they are facing.   

The person in charge of the Insurance and Non-Bank Services Department of Beijing Local Financial Supervision and Administration answered the questions on the spot and conducted in-depth communication on specific issues. He expressed the hope that after the symposium, the participants will be able to systematically sort out issues such as intellectual property protection, and put forward relevant policy recommendations based on actual cases. The person in charge of the regional department said that he will continue to pay attention to the demands of foreign-funded enterprises in Beijing on the business environment in Beijing, actively give feedback on the suggestions of foreign-funded enterprises, and conscientiously cooperate with relevant departments to do a good job in the full-service for foreign-funded enterprises.
