On November 22nd, “Symposium between the Municipal Government and the Heads of Foreign Business Associations in Beijing, Business Associations of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and Leading Officials of Enterprises” was successfully held in Beijing. Lin Keqing, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Municipal Government, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Wang Jun and Yang Xiuling, deputy secretary-general of the municipal government, responsible comrades of the municipal government and the 16 districts, and responsible persons of 16 foreign business associations in Beijing, business associations of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and a few leading officials of foreign-funded enterprises attended the meeting. The 10 business associations and corporate leaders made a special speech on the theme of “Beijing's optimization of the business environment, promotion of the financial and service industry expansion and opening up, promotion of scientific and technological innovation and cultural creativity and the cooperation development on other areas”. This meeting features on three main points. The first is based on responding to the voices of the enterprises. Member of the Standing Committee Lin Keqing responded to the questions raised by the representatives on five aspects, including Beijing's reform and optimization of the business environment, the expansion of the service industry, urban governance, Beijing-Hong Kong cooperation, and high-tech development. Member of the Standing Committee Lin Keqing introduced the situation of Beijing’s efforts to expand opening up, reform and optimize the business environment, the construction of science and technology innovation centers and the construction of a world-class harmonious and livable capital, and demonstrated the future development and opportunities of Beijing to the participating foreign-invested enterprises. The third is based on providing accurate services. This symposium is an important measure on the city's precision service for foreign business associations in Beijing, business associations of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and foreign-funded enterprises. In order to improve the effectiveness of the symposium, the difficulties encountered by the enterprises of the development in Beijing were collected before the meeting, and the relevant municipal departments were able to interpret the policy issues of concern to the foreign-funded enterprises in the policy interpretation session.
