On September 29, the Municipal Investment Promotion Bureau and the Yanqing District Government jointly held the “Well-known enterprises of Beijing invest in Yanqing and Yanqing District Horticultural Industry Investment Promotion Conference”. The event aims to seize the opportunity of the World Horticultural Exhibition to promote the construction of the modern horticultural industry cluster in Yanqing District, attract more high-quality enterprises in the modern horticultural industry to gather in Yanqing, and promote the development and upgrading of the regional horticultural industry. Zhou Xu, director of the Municipal Investment Promotion Bureau, Li Zhijun, secretary of Yanqing District Party Committee, mayor Mu Peng, and deputy mayor Zhang Yuan attended the promotion meeting.  

Director Zhou Xu made an introduction focusing on new trends in Beijing's development and business environment optimization policies, and the responsibilities and specific measures of the Municipal Investment Promotion Bureau serving Beijing enterprises and districts. Director Zhou Xu said that Beijing is accelerating the construction of a modern economic system that is compatible with the strategic positioning of the capital city and supports the construction of a world-class harmonious and livable capital in accordance with the requirements of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s "Beijing has to develop and should develop better". Since September last year, Beijing has issued a number of measures to address the pain points, difficulties, and blocking problems of the business environment. The “last mile” of the policy has been opened up, giving the enterprises a real sense of gain, and in the evaluation results of business trials among 22 cities in China issued by the National Development and Reform Commission, Beijing ranked first. As the investment promotion agency directly under the Beijing Municipal Government, Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau will continue to build a variety of enterprise service platforms to help Beijing-based enterprises deepen their understanding of various districts and key industrial policies, and assist enterprises to find more investment opportunities in Beijing, helping enterprises to enhance coordination and solve the difficulties they encounter when developing in Beijing, and serve the enterprises in Beijing better. Through the establishment of the linkage of the city and the district under "the bureau setting up the platform, each district realizing the project landing" and the work pattern of the city's investment promotion system on "a game of chess", all districts shall be well served.  

Mayor Mu Peng introduced Yanqing's strategic positioning and regional characteristics, focusing on the preparations for the Beijing World Horticultural Exposition in China and the construction goals of the Yanqing Modern Horticulture Industry Cluster. Mayor Mu Peng said that Yanqing District is based on the functional orientation of the ecological conservation area, strictly implementing the new version of the Beijing Municipal General Regulations, and take relieve, renovate and promote upgrading as the starting point, adhering to the reduction, innovation, green and high-quality development, actively cultivating the modern horticultural industry, and accelerating the construction of a green "high-grade, precision and advanced" economic structure with Yanqing characteristics. The efforts of the whole district will be built to establish a modern horticultural industry cluster area, and the horticultural flower industry pattern of “one district and multiple parks” will be initially constructed, setting up the "Zhongguancun Modern Horticultural Industry Innovation Center", and releasing the comprehensive planning and a series of industrial policies of the modern horticultural industry cluster area. Yanqing District vigorously optimizes the business environment, improves service quality, and creates a business environment with the most simplified approval procedures, the most optimized process, the highest efficiency and the best service for its enterprises. It provides high-quality, efficient and comprehensive services in fields of education, medical care, transportation and housing for high-end talents.  

The responsible staffs of the preparatory office of the Beijing World Horticultural Exposition of Yanqing District and the Yanqing Park Management Committee of Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park gave detailed intruductions on the preparations for the World Horticultural Exposition, and promoted the modern horticultural industry cluster, Zhongguancun Science and Technology Yanqing Park and the supporting policies. Zhongguancun Science and Technology Yanqing Park signed a contract on site with Beijing Zhongnong Futong Horticulture Co., Ltd. and Mengcao Group.  

This trip to Yanqing took the advantage of the opportunity of the World Horticultural Exhibition, focusing on the positioning around Yanqing Modern Horticulture Industry Cluster Area, and invited more than 100 senior executives from more than 60 horticultural targeted companies to participate in the Investment Promotion Conference, including Orient Landscape Ecology Group, Mengcao Group, and Nabobay Cultural Industry (Beijing) Co., Ltd., and visited the modern horticultural industry cluster.
