On August 8, Zhou Xu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Bureau met with the head of the Economic Affairs Office of the Foreign Investment and Development Agency of Latvia in China, Ingus Rozenblats. Relevant staffs from the Regional Promotion Office accompanied the meeting.  

During the meeting, Director Zhou Xu introduced the current economic situation of the city and the main functions of the bureau, expounded the development environment of foreign-funded enterprises in Beijing, focused on the willingness and practice of the bureau to build overseas investment promotion network channels, and introduced various investment promotion activities represented by the “Beijing·Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Seminar”, as well as the policy measures of the city to improve the business environment and the success cases of our Bureau for giving support to investors overcoming difficulties in the business process. Ingus Rozenblats introduced the job responsibilities of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia(LIAA) and its main business in China, presenting all aspects of Latvia, especially the capital Riga's advantageous industries, business environment, investment policies, talent advantages, etc. He expressed his willingness to cooperate with our bureau to strengthen the investment promotion and business cooperation between Beijing and Latvia.  

The two sides hope to maintain close communication, strengthen investment promotion and exchange, build a long-term cooperation mechanism, deepen cooperation in optimizing business environment and providing convenience, and helping each other to expand overseas investment channels in order to achieve a win-win development.
