On August 7, Director Zhou Xu met with Park Han-sung, the new general representative of the China Headquarters of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA). Deputy director Su Hong attended the meeting.  

KOTRA is a non-profit trade and investment promotion agency under the Korean government. It has 127 representative offices around the world to promote economic and trade exchanges between Korea and overseas. The Beijing Representative Office was formally established in 1990 and has been maintaining good communication and cooperation with our bureau which have played a positive role in the development of Korean companies in Beijing.  

Director Zhou Xu introduced to Park Han-sung about the Beijing New Urban Master Plan and Beijing's open innovation development status. He also introduced Beijing's various initiatives and measures to optimize the business environment, and highlighted the city's expansion of the financial industry's opening to the outside world and the relaxation of the financial industry market. It is hoped that KOTRA will be able to pass on the signals of Beijing's reform and development to more Korean companies and financial institutions, to continuously strengthen cooperation between the two sides and jointly promote high-quality projects in Korea to invest in Beijing.  

Park Han-sung has great confidence in the development of Korean companies in Beijing, therefore will pay close attention to the new business opportunities in Beijing. At the same time, he will also pass on the information of Beijing's new investment environment to Korean companies.
