From June 29 to 30, 2018, Beijing Federation of Trade Unions of Foreign Enterprises held a training course on labor disputes and collective bargaining among trade unions of foreign enterprises. The 170 trade union chairmen, vice chairmen, trade union members and officers participated in this training. They came from 55 enterprises including SIEMENS (China), ABB, Schneider, Pizza Hut and Oracle (China), and so on.
Two experts were invited to give lessons. One was Zhang Hengshun, Deputy Secretary General of Chinese Social Law Society and vice president of the Beijing labor law society. The other was Fan Shaohua, Associate professor of Beijing trade union official college. Fan is also Beijing Labor and personnel dispute arbitrator. Zhang took the form of "in the case of case" to interpret the contents of labor disputes. The main contents of his course included four aspects: both strengthen understanding the concept of law and establishing nomothetic mind are the core guiding principle to deal with labor disputes; The system construction of adjusting the labor relations provides the platform and foundation for the trade union to play its role; accurate grasping the labor law and regulations law is important premise that trade unions have ability to perform the duties of safeguarding rights; making clear the orientation between trade union and enterprise administration can ensure the development of trade unions. In combination with the new situation of current economic development and the social situation, professor Fan explained the knowledges of collective bargaining in detail from the four aspects of legal basis, standard process, main form and negotiation focus, respectively.
Participants said that they had a lot of harvest. Everyone agreed that the training subject was clear and the contents were rich. They also think that the training is close to enterprises, and is very timely and necessary. Through training, the participants not only learned the theories of law and regulations about labor disputes, but also mastered the experience and skill of handling labor disputes. In the situation of building a harmonious labor relationship in society, the training can effectively help enterprises, workers and trade unions to supervise the performance of labor contracts and prevent labor disputes.
