On October 17, our Center, in line with the Beijing Municipal Intellectual Property Office and the Beijing Foreign Investment Enterprise Association, jointly held an interpretation meeting on the intellectual property policy of foreign-invested enterprises in Beijing. The staffs in charge of the relevant business department from the Beijing Municipal Intellectual Property Office, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Market Supervision and Administration, the Beijing Municipal Copyright Bureau, the Beijing Higher People's Court, and the Beijing Municipal Cultural Law Enforcement Corps introduced the optimization of the business environment, the construction of seven-in-one intellectual property protection pattern and relevant policies and measures to the foreign trade associations and foreign-invested enterprises in Beijing. They also answered more than 30 issues such as patents, copyrights, trademark management and protection proposed by enterprises on site.  

Nearly one hundred people in charge of intellectual property rights of foreign-funded enterprises in the city participated the meeting, including United Technologies Corporation, Ericsson (China), Siemens, Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. After the meeting, the representatives of the companies visited the city's intellectual property achievement exhibition on the site and gave a high-level evaluation of the policy interpretation of the Beijing Municipal Intellectual Property Office and relevant units. The enterprises affirmed the active implementation of optimizing the business environment of Beijing and service providing of our Center and relevant government departments.
