Vice director Zhang Hua Met with President of Legal & General Investment Management Asia-Pacific Region and his delegation

On September 23, Zhang Hua, deputy director of Beijing Investment Promotion Service Center, met with David Peng, president of the Asia-Pacific region of Legal & General Investment Management (Asia) and his delegation. The heads of the Banking and Insurance Department of the Municipal Financial Supervision Bureau and the Business Liaison Office of the Municipal Investment Promotion Center participated in the talks.  

Deputy director Zhang Hua introduced to President David Peng the development of Beijing's opening up and innovation, as well as the measures taken to optimize and enhance the business environment in Beijing. He also emphasized that Beijing, as the first comprehensive pilot city for expanding the opening up of service industry in China, had launched a series of measures for expanding the opening up and innovation of the financial industry to foreign financial institutions, which brings new opportunities for the development of foreign-capital financial institution in Beijing. He welcome Legal & General to invest in Beijing and expressed that they will provide the best service for the development of Legal & General in Beijing.  

Relevant persons in charge of the Banking and Insurance Department of the Municipal Financial Regulatory Bureau interpreted the measures to open up Beijing's financial industry and answered relevant policy questions raised by enterprises.  

President David Peng introduced the related situation of Legal & General. Legal & General ranked 172 among Fortune 500 companies in 2018, the investment management department of Legal & General is the largest in the UK and the 11th largest in global asset management. President David Peng said that he would further deepen his understanding of Beijing's financial opening policy and strengthen communication and cooperation with Beijing.
