In order to implement the requirements of the Beijing Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government on counterpart support to Xinjiang Hotan region, to deepen the economic cooperation between Beijing and Xinjiang Hotan region, and to help enterprises in Beijing understand the investment environment, preferential policies and key projects in Xinjiang Hotan region, a team consisted of 12 executives from six enterprises in Beijing was led by Zhang Tong, deputy inspector of Beijing Municipal Investment Promotion Bureau, to go to Xinjiang Hotan to launch "Xinjiang Hotan" activities from September 3rd to 5th, 2018.  

During the event, a symposium was held in Xinjiang Hotan for Beijing’s enterprises. Zhang Tong, deputy inspector of deputy inspector of Beijing Municipal Investment Promotion Bureau, attended and addressed. Twelve senior executives from Charoen Pokphand Group, Research Technology Group, Full Union of the Peasants, Shaddick, Blue Wisdom and SHUIDI Group have introduced their successful experiences and interacted with leaders of Hotan on cooperative projects and mature business models in various fields, such as processing and marketing of agricultural and sideline products, mining, aquaculture production and online raising public funds for serious diseases. They also exchanged their views and docked with the relevant leaders of Hotan regional including Bureau of Commerce, the Ministry of Industrial Cooperation, the China Merchants Bureau, the Science and Technology Bureau, the Health Planning Commission and other government departments.  

In addition, the team also visited some key parks and enterprises including the Beijing Industrial Park in Luopu County, Jingluo small business park, Morning Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., Hao Xue Lang garment factory in Luopu and Hao Lin hair ornament Co., Ltd.in Hotan during the event. Beijing’s enterprises conducted docking exchanges on key investment projects and regions of interest. Five cooperative intentions have been initially reached: Charoen Pokphand Group intends to strengthen cooperation with the local government in animal husbandry feed supply and other industries; Research Technology Group intends to strengthen cooperation with the local government in the field of mining exploitation; Both Shaddick Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. and Full Union of the Peasants (Beijing) Supply Chain Management Limited intend to strengthen cooperation with the local government in the fields of agricultural products sales and processing, such as Hotan jujube, walnut and local characteristic foods. SHUIDI Group intends to strengthen cooperation with the local government in the fields of serious disease relief and "health poverty alleviation".  

The event was highly valued and strongly supported by the Bureau of Hotan regional, the Beijing Municipal Aid Xinjiang Hotan Command and the 14th Division of the Corps. Zhao Weidong, deputy director of Beijing Aid Xinjiang Hotan Command, personally accompanied enterprises to investigate and survey key investment projects in Hotan, encouraging Beijing’s entrepreneurs to invest and develop in Hotan. Wang Aijun, deputy commander of Beijing Aid Xinjiang Hotan Command and deputy commander of the 14th Division of the Corps, Zeng GuanJun, member of the Hotan Land Commission and Executive Deputy Commissioner attended the symposium and spoke. The entrepreneurs said that they have made great achievements from this investment activities. They strengthened their comprehensive understanding of the investment environment in Hotan and they also found out the development advantages and great potential of the area. In the future, they will increase their cooperation with the area to help local development.
