It hosts the headquarters of financial regulators including the People's Bank of China, the National Financial Regulatory Administration, and the China Securities Regulatory Commission. Xicheng District hosts a number of national financial institutions' headquarters, financial regulators, and diverse financial service providers, serving as China's financial decision-making, management, and information dissemination center; Chaoyang District functions as the capital's international financial cluster with 1,841 licensed financial institutions; Fengtai District operates as Beijing's emerging financial industry hub, capital financial reform pilot zone, core demonstration area for fintech innovation, and Beijing's statutory digital currency testing ground; and Shijingshan District hosts over 200 financial institutions, establishing a new consumption finance framework centered on the "Three Cards + Consumer Finance" initiative.
