By December 2024, the number of the multinational corporations' regional headquarters in Beijing CBD will reach 120, representing nearly 50 percent of Beijing's total and securing a dominant share of such headquarters in the city.

In recent years, Beijing CBD has actively aligned itself with advanced international economic and trade standards, working to create a world-class business environment that is market-oriented, law-based, and internationalized, to comprehensively enhance its international competitiveness regionally. Since the beginning of this year, Beijing CBD has implemented the "Headquarters Growth Plan". By analyzing economic trends and sorting out the list of target companies, the district, focusing on key enterprises of the headquarters economy, has conducted extensive research and visits to enhance the capabilities of key enterprises and facilitate the accreditation of the regional headquarters of multinational corporations. Focusing on advancing the capacities of the headquarters economy to a higher level, Beijing CBD provides targeted policy support for functional headquarters, trade headquarters, service headquarters, financial headquarters, and high-growth innovative headquarters, among other types. It has established a multi-level, multi-sector, and multi-directional policy system tailored to the diverse needs of these headquarters.

To further drive high-quality regional economic growth, Beijing CBD has formulated and released the Measures to Promote the High-Quality Development of Beijing's Central Business District. These measures include establishing a "4+N" global investment attraction system, enhancing policy guidance and financial support, invigorating various business entities, and building a modern industrial system to attract headquarters enterprises to this district. In September 2024, the Global Business Reception Hall settled in Beijing CBD, serving as an offline hub for headquarters enterprises. The hall functions as a center for empowerment, networking, exchanges and exhibitions, aiming to take the headquarters economy in Beijing CBD to new heights.

Since the beginning of this year, a total of 10 enterprises in Beijing CBD, including Marubeni (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and Ebara (China) Co., Ltd., have been recognized as regional headquarters of multinational corporations, representing a 150-percent year-on-year growth.
