Recently, the Zhongguancun Comprehensive Bonded Zone (referred to as the "Zhongguancun CBZ") in Beijing has successfully passed the official acceptance inspection by a joint inspection team, and it is now ready for customs operations.

Beijing further expands its opening-up by launching a new platform. It now has three comprehensive bonded zones, namely, the Tianzhu CBZ, the Daxing International Airport CBZ, and the Zhongguancun CBZ. This move aims to maximize the advantages and characteristics of each zone while creating a well-structured pattern of differentiated development through complementarity. The establishment of the Zhongguancun CBZ is an important experiment in exploring the role of comprehensive bonded zones in the field of scientific and technological innovation. Zhongguancun CBZ benefits from the influences of the Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector, the Pilot Free Trade Zone, the Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone, and the Comprehensive Bonded Zone. It represents a bold attempt to promote Zhongguancun's open and innovative development.
