Dongcheng District in Beijing joins hands with the Agricultural Bank of China to launch the activity of digital RMB payment, "Discountsfor Readers", under the theme of "Bring Benefit to People and Enjoy  Reading in Dongcheng District", which is scheduled for December 3 through December 19 this year.

From 0:00 on December 3 to December 19, after downloading and logging onto the official mobile app of Agricultural Bank of China, citizens can apply for a digital coupon, with which CNY 99 will be deducted if the total sums reach CNY 100. Citizens who get the coupon can enjoy a discount at 30 brick-and-mortar bookstores in Dongcheng District for cultural consumption. The 30,000 coupons will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis. The activity is initiated to encourage citizens to pay with digital RMB at the cultural consumption places of Dongcheng District such as physical bookstores.

30 new quality cultural consumption scenarios in Dongcheng District, represented by physical bookstores and with distinctive features, rich cultural connotations, diversified activities and excellent customer experience, have been selected for this activity, covering four categories, namely, bookstores with excellent publications, bookstores with new cultural scenes, bookstores with unique themes and public cultural spaces.
