In recent years,Beijing has taken various measures in the fields of education,health and social work services,further advanced the reform and innovation of the educational system and mechanism,comprehensively promoted the construction of a healthy Beijing,encouraged social forces to provide multi-level and diversified medical services,and actively done all kinds of social work.The results of Beijing's Fourth National Economic Census show that good development has been achieved in all fields of education,health and social work.

I.Significant increase in the number of units

At the end of 2018,there were 28,000 legal entities in education,health and social work in the city,an increase of 86.2 per cent over the end of 2013(the year of the third national economic census in 2013,the same below);the number of units accounted for 3.0 per cent of all third-industry legal entities,an increase of 0.4 percentage points over the end of 2013.Of these,there were 21,000 legal entities for education,an increase of 90.5 per cent,and were legal entities for health and social work,an increase of 73.4 per cent.

II.Steady increase in total economic volume

In 2018,corporate units in education,health and social work achieved a total income of 543.99 billion yuan,an increase of 77.1 percent over 2013.Among them,educational corporate units realized income of 291.34 billion yuan,an increase of 74.5 percent,and health and social work corporate units realized income of 252.66 billion yuan,an increase of 80.3 percent.At the end of 2018,the assets of corporate units in the two industries totalled 91.08 billion yuan,an increase of 80.3%over 2013.Of these,the total assets of legal entities in education amounted to 659.17 billion yuan,an increase of 77.6 percent,while the total assets of legal entities in health and social work$251.31 billion,an increase of 87.8%.

III.Promotion of enterprises and institutions

Enterprise legal person realizes rapid development.In recent years,our city has actively supported private enterprises to participate in government and social capital cooperation projects,guiding social capital into medical care,education,old-age care and other fields,driving enterprises to achieve rapid development.In 2018,the number of corporate units and income of enterprises increased by 1.6 times and 2.1 times respectively compared with 2013.Among them,the number and income of legal persons in educational enterprises increased by 1.8 times and 2.3 times respectively,while the number and income of legal persons in health and social work enterprises increased by 1.2 times and 1.8 times respectively.The number of units in educational enterprises,health and social work enterprises accounted for 77.6 per cent respectively in this area,63.6%,24.2 and 12.7 percentage points higher than at the end of 2013,respectively.

Organ,enterprise and legal person achieve steady development.In 2018,there were 7167 corporate units of administrative institutions in the two sectors of education,health and social work,an increase of 1.4 per cent over the end of 2013;income reached 448.79 billion yuan,an increase of 62.5 per cent.Among them,the integration of educational resources has achieved remarkable results,with 4759 corporate units of administrative institutions at the end of 2018,down 8.4%,and realizing income of 232.42 billion yuan,an increase of 55.8%.There were 2408 legal entities in public health and social work,an increase of 28.5 per cent,and income of 216.37 billion yuan,an increase of 70.4 per cent.

IV.A more rational regional layout

The number of units was 1840 and 1064,respectively,accounting for 1.5 and 0.3 percentage points higher than in 2013.Daxing district made great efforts to create a national health district,with a total of 400 legal entities in the health and social work industry at the end of 2018,accounting for an increase of 0.9 percentage points in the proportion of legal entities in the health and social work industry in the whole city.
