Per capita consumption expenditure increased 7.4%year on year in the first quarter of 2019

In the first quarter of 2019,according to the composition of eight items of consumption,the per capita expenditure on food,tobacco and alcohol in the city was 2292 yuan,up 8.2%from the same period last year;the per capita expenditure on clothing was 628 yuan,unchanged from the same period last year;and the per capita expenditure on housing was 3846 yuan,up 5.7%from the same period last year.The per capita expenditure on household goods and services was 546 yuan,up 6.8 percent from the same period last year;the per capita expenditure on transportation and communications was 1219 yuan,up 11.0 percent from the same period last year;and the per capita expenditure on education,culture and entertainment was 927 yuan,up 10.5 percent from the same period last year.The per capita expenditure on health care was 874 yuan,up 14.2%from the same period last year;and the per capita expenditure on other supplies and services was 305Yuan,up 1.0%year-on-year.  

The per capita expenditure on food,tobacco,alcohol and alcohol for urban residents was 2401 yuan,up 8.2 percent from the same period last year;the per capita expenditure on clothing and clothing was 670 yuan,down 1.0 percent from the same period last year;The per capita expenditure on household goods and services was 588 yuan,up 8.3 percent from the same period last year;the per capita expenditure on transportation and communications was 1303 yuan,up 10.5 percent from the same period last year;and the per capita expenditure on education,culture and entertainment was 1020 yuan,up 11.0 percent from the same period last year.Spending on health care per capita was 920 yuan,up 13.6 percent from the same period last year;and per capita spending on other supplies and services was 338 yuan,up 2.7 percent from the same period last year.  

Statistical scope of household income and expenditure and living conditions survey,collection channels and interpretation of main indicators  

The subjects of the household survey are households in the people's Republic of China,including both urban and rural households,as well as households living in the form of families and collective households.The survey subjects were determined according to their permanent residence,including households with local households as well as those with households outside Hong Kong,but those who resided locally for a period of more than half a year,usually for a period of more than half a year.The scope of cities and towns is defined as the area of"towns"in the regulation on the statistical division of urban and rural areas,and the area of rural areas defined as"rural areas"in the"provisions on the statistical division of urban and rural areas".  

Household survey uses journal and questionnaire to collect basic data.Among them,residents'cash income and expenditure,real income and expenditure are mainly collected by the way of accounting.Household members and labor force employment,housing and durable goods ownership,household operation and production investment,basic situation of community and other conditions of people's livelihood were collected by questionnaire.  

III.Interpretation of major statistical indicators  

Consumer expenditure:the total expenditure of a household to meet the daily needs of a household,including expenditure on consumer goods and on service consumption.According to different uses,consumer expenditure can be divided into eight categories:food,tobacco,clothing,housing,household goods and services,transportation and communications,education,culture and entertainment,health care,other supplies and services.  

Food,tobacco and alcohol:expenditure on all kinds of food and tobacco and alcohol.  

Clothing:expenditure related to the clothing of residents,including clothing,clothing materials,footwear,other clothing and accessories,clothing-related processing services.  

Housing:housing-related expenses,including rent,water,electricity,fuel,property management,etc.,as well as converted rent for self-owned housing.  

Household goods and services:all kinds of daily necessities and family services for families and individuals.Including furniture and upholstery,household appliances,household textiles,household groceries,personal effects and home services.  

Education,Culture,and Recreation:expenditure on education and cultural recreation.  

Health care:the total cost of medicines,supplies and services for medical and health care.Including medical devices and medicines,as well as medical services.  

Other supplies and services:expenditure on other supplies and services that cannot be directly attributed to the above categories of expenditure.
