It also sought to utilize Hong Kong's strengths in areas such as technological innovation and professional services. Government departments from both Beijing and Hong Kong, key regions and parks such as the Hong Kong Northern Metropolis Co-ordination Office, Hong Kong Science Park, and Cyberport, as well as financial institutions, international professional service agencies, and tech innovation companies, were invited to participate. The event featured policy briefings, discussions, exchanges, and matchmaking sessions to explore new strategies, paths, and models for companies looking to go global. It aims to support unicorn enterprises, specialized and sophisticated "little giant" enterprises that produce unique and novel products, and potential outbound enterprises from various districts, including the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, in their efforts to expand internationally.

Additionally, a series of cooperation projects between Beijing and Hong Kong innovation entities have been signed.
