A total of 36 projects worth 44 billion yuan ($6.56 billion) were signed at the "Invest in Beijing" Conference held at Shougang Park on Thursday afternoon in Beijing.
The conference was a key event of the Beijing municipal government's efforts to promote investment and showcase its business environment while the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services is ongoing in the Chinese capital city.

The conference was hosted by the People's Government of Beijing Municipality and co-organized by the Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau, Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform, Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Administrative Commission of Zhongguancun Science Park, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, and Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau.
The conference combined policy briefings, business talks and project signings and attracted the attendance of more than 500 guests, including officials from the Ministry of Commerce and the Beijing municipal government, the director-general of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), the chairman of the board of the Euro-Sino Enterprises Association, as well as Fortune 500 executives, multinational company heads, global investors and representatives of international chambers of commerce.
During the policy briefing session of the conference, officials from the science and technology, economy and information technology, and commerce authorities outlined Beijing's latest policies on foreign investment, R&D support, talent and commercialization of research results, opening-up of high-grade, precision and advanced industries, scenario-based implementation for businesses, wider opening of the service sector, and market access.
Commercial space unicorn GalaxySpace and Fortune 500 developer Swire Properties Ltd shared their growth stories. Their presentation, a unique pairing of a homegrown newcomer and an established multinational, was a vivid demonstration of Beijing's policy support and market space for companies at different stages.
Projects, covering 12 fields, including sci-tech innovation, intelligent manufacturing and modern services, were signed at the event. Investment promotion departments of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei also signed a cooperation agreement, while the China-Europe Innovation Industrial Park was officially launched, providing a physical platform for two-way engagement between European companies and Chinese innovators.
The "Invest in Beijing" Conference is a key platform for Beijing to showcase its business environment, industrial opportunities and the city's appeal to global investors. In recent years, the city has been building a first-class business environment that is market-oriented, law-based, business-friendly and internationalized, while its ecosystem for technological innovation and high-end industries has continued to mature.
