As a supporting event of the 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), “Beijing Day” and the Invest Beijing Conference opened on September 11 at Shougang Park. Organized by the Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau, the event adopted the theme “Empowerment · Integration · Win-Win,” and aimed to build a new platform for the integrated development of trade in services, high-end manufacturing, and modern services, while gathering global resources to explore pathways for industrial upgrading.
At the conference, Beijing released 140 investment and cooperation projects in fields including new-generation information technology and healthcare, with a total investment value of 139.75 billion yuan. The city also launched 20 “AI+” application scenarios to promote the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements and showcase Beijing’s cooperation opportunities, achievements of the “Two Zones” initiative, and enterprise-friendly policies.
The conference invited representatives from enterprises and institutions to share insights on innovation practices and ecosystem building. Speakers discussed global investment trends, international technological cooperation, and high-end resource integration, highlighting the value of integrating trade in services with manufacturing and modern services. Senior executives from Danaher shared the company’s collaboration experience in Beijing’s healthcare innovation ecosystem; Zhipu AI presented development driven by Beijing’s AI industry; foreign investment institutions analyzed Beijing’s global competitiveness in its business environment; and Beijing State-owned Capital Operation and Management Co., Ltd. outlined how industrial capital can support the value growth of tech enterprises.
During the regional promotion session, Chaoyang, Haidian, Shijingshan, and Tongzhou districts introduced their respective strengths in commerce, green finance reform, the Zhongguancun Science City innovation ecosystem, unicorn cultivation, and digital economy integration, further facilitating industry-capital matchmaking.
In the investment matchmaking session, eight government-guided fund managers, banks, investment institutions, and district-level investment promotion agencies held targeted meetings with enterprises seeking cooperation. Through project roadshows and one-on-one negotiations, the session helped connect capital with industry and build a coordinated “industry + capital” development ecosystem.
The “Invest Beijing Lounge,” an important platform showcasing Beijing’s business environment and investment resources, also returned to CIFTIS for the fourth consecutive year. The lounge provided on-site investment consultation services, policy interpretation, and district-level investment opportunities, offering enterprises direct access to Beijing’s development advantages and key industrial layout.
