A Beijing delegation attended the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), which is being held from Sept 8 to 11 in Xiamen, Fujian province, to promote the capital's business environment and investment opportunities.

Organized by the Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau, the delegation brings together investment promotion agencies from the city's 16 districts and the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area, as well as heads of key industrial parks.

The Beijing pavilion at the fair is themed around "Invest in Beijing, Win the Future",  spotlighting the capital's business environment and core industrial strengths, with new quality productive forces as its focus.

The pavilion's physical display section has been expanded this year, featuring more than 30 sci-tech achievements from more than 10 Beijing companies in fields including artificial intelligence, biopharmaceuticals, high-end equipment and commercial aerospace.

District-level investment promotion agencies and industrial parks from Beijing are using the venue to brief investors on the city's business environment, latest industrial policies, innovation results and support services.

The fair also created a dedicated zone to host themed promotion sessions and park roadshows, with events livestreamed through the Cloud CIFIT app, allowing project matchmaking to run both online and offline.

Through exhibitions, investment promotion sessions and product demonstrations, the pavilion presents a multi-dimensional picture of Beijing's innovation-driven development, high-level opening-up, dynamic industrial ecosystem and world-class business environment.

The Beijing delegation has also actively engaged with Finland, this year's guest country of honor, participating in a series of official events — including the opening ceremony, a China-Finland economic and trade cooperation event, a matchmaking session for investment promotion agencies, and an RCEP economic and trade cooperation event — while inviting global investors to tap into development opportunities in Beijing, share in the city's growth, and pursue mutually beneficial cooperation.
