On November 18, 2021, Director Sun Yao met with governor Murata Atsushi and escorts from Mizuho Bank (China), Ltd. Deputy Director of Beijing Investment Promotion Service Center Su Hong also attended the meeting.  

Murata Atsushi introduced Mizuho Bank and Mizuho Financial Group on their present development, development plans in Beijing, the intention of their bank customers to invest in Beijing and China-Japan Cooperative Innovation Demonstration Zone in Daxing, Bejing. He also proposed their opinions and suggestions on the development of the demonstration zone, hoping to further the communication and cooperation with the Beijing Investment Promotion Service Center, and re-sign a strategic cooperation agreement.

Sun Yao also introduced to Murata Atsushi and his escorts the new combined development pattern of Beijing’s “five key links”, the construction of “two free trade zones (Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone and China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone)”, the construction of the consumption hub with global influence, and the financial development advantages of Beijing after the establishment of the China Beijing Equity Exchange. He also introduced main works carried out by Beijing Invest, solicited the opinions and suggestions of Mizuho Bank on improving the business environment in Beijing and holding investment promotion meetings, and expressed the willingness to provide services for the development of Mizuho Securities in Beijing with all its strength. He also agreed that both parties will further cooperate and sign a new cooperation agreement, and proposed to jointly organize professional investment promotion activities next year. Besides, he hoped that Mizuho Bank can make use of its customer resources to provide support for Beijing to attract high-quality Japanese companies and for international multinational companies to develop in Beijing. It is hoped that Mizuho Bank can provide suggestions and take a leading role in the construction of "two free trade zones" and the development of the China-Japan Cooperative Innovation Demonstration Zone.
