In 2024, Beijing will comprehensively initiate the construction of four International Consumption Experience Zones, propelling the renovation and enhancement of 15 traditional business districts, including Shuangjing. More than ten newly established commercial facilities will be put into operation.

Beijing is propelling the construction of new business districts and the renovation of existing ones, with a focus on creating integrated consumption experiences. This year, Beijing will comprehensively initiate the construction of four international consumption experience zones by combining Wangfujing Street, Xidan Commercial Street and Qianmen Street, CBD and Sanlitun, the Universal Beijing Resort and the Grand Canal, and Lize Financial Business District and the Capital New Business District. Meanwhile, 15 traditional business districts, including Xizhimen and Shuangjing, are set to get renovated. More than 10 new commercial facilities including the Haidian Joy City, Wanda Plaza in Shahe Town of Changping, and the Mixc in Beijing Municipal Administrative Center will be put into operation, too. These will further optimize the commercial consumption space layout throughout the city.

Moreover, Beijing will continue to utilize policy guidance and event-driven activities to actively promote the development of first-store debuts. It will welcome about 800 first stores, flagship stores, and innovative concept stores while extending financial support for the opening of first stores and new product debuts. Retail brands opening their first stores will be eligible to receive up to CNY 5 million in financial support with new fashion product debuts eligible for a maximum of CNY 2 million.
